Way to go Dogs!!! Awesome pitching duel from Yoakum's Adam Hunter and F'Burg Matt Flores. One of the best games I seen in a while. Had the pleasure to meet the owner of 3abaseball.com who was at the game. Big time clutch game winning hit by Keith Ratley in the 8th as Flores walks Hunter to face Ratley with 2 outs. Plated winning run on the hit.

Lubbock Cooper runrules Levelland in 5 again today, this time by a score of 13-2 to advance to the regional semis. Better pay attention to this team. They also runruled Fabens before this.

In the last 3 games Cooper has played, they have scored 37 runs and given up 6. WOW!!!

And these were all run-ruled shortened games to boot. Probably unloaded their bench in each game too. I'd say they are getting plenty of at bats for every player.

I reckon this means the 2011-12 athletic year for Argyle is now officially OVER!! Congratulations to all the participants in all the sporting events all year long for making this a great season to remember for the school and the town. Lots to be proud of and many memories for those who participated. By the way, just wanted all the readers here to know Austin Aune went out with a bang tonite in his last game as an Argyle Eagle with a grand slam. A fitting departure for Aune. I think this will not be the last we hear from this talented young man.

In 2007 I coached a all-star team in Burleson and we played a team from Stephenville that absolutely steam rolled us and our team was no slouch by any means. That team from Stephenville went on to play in the Pony League world series championship losing to a team from California. Those kids should be the same age as my son (15-16), any Stephenville posters know how many of those kids are still there?
