Who do you think had the best all-time HS rushing team in all classes?

I'd put 96' Lewisville up there somewhere....

06' and 07' Liberty Hill, also...

Midland Lee when they had Cedric Benson. Also, in the mid to late 90's Brownwood was based out of the bone. We always 3 players go for more than 1000 yards rushing and the Qb would have over a 1000 rushing and passing. Normally we would get about 400-500 yards rushing per game.

* See Bullaholic post above...:DI don't think it was 06 or 07 though. I think it was a year or two before that.

Homer post, but WC these last 2 years got it done on the ground.

QB/2 RBs/FB all put up some pretty impressive rushing numbers.

The thing that made 06' Lewisville so incredible was that you knew they would never throw it, and you could load up with 10-in-the-box---maybe even know where they would probably run---and they still ran over you with that wishbone.

That is correct OT. It was the O4 Team

LH must have made miles rushing from 04'-07', then...

1985 State Champion Goldthwaite Eagles, ran the wishbone offense seemed like the same three plays over and over. Always seemed like they had 13 or 14 guys on the field!

X2....and still running the bone.
Actually I think our 1993 team had the most total rushing yards. The fullback and qb were both D1 players at Rice and Texas Tech. The other running back on the 93-94 team had the most rushing yards, but didn't play college ball.

Ohma Paul Pewitt, the team Goldthwaite beat in state in 1993, had two good running backs. James Talbot had over 2500 yards the other back had over 2000 yards that year too. I don't know what the qb had but it was a lot also.

I would also have to add Mason to the list.

Mason High School's record-setting running back David Mora was honored as the Built Ford Tough Class 1A Player of the Year Saturday in a ceremony at Cowboys Stadium.

Mora, who also was named the Standard-Times' All-West Texas Super Team most valuable player as a junior and senior, ran for 258 yards and five touchdowns in Mason's 62-40 win over Stamford in the state championship game.

He finished 14th on the all-time Texas rushing list with 7,642 yards and set the national record with 498 carries during his junior season.

That team ruined Carthage football for 4 years. Carthage was known for not passing at that time. I think we were averaging 2 pass attempts a season. I think they were going to open it up a little in the '97 season but when we walked into the field house a week or 2 after Lewisville won it all and we saw them drooling over the game field. It pretty much justified them sticking with the run.
