All of East Texas Speedsters mourn the loss of Carroll Shelby, chicken Farmer turned hot-rodder and revolutionized the American auto industry passed away Thursday in Dallas at age 89. Complete story:

I was very fortunate to have had breakfast with Mr. Shelby on several occasions...he was truly a down to earth guy and a great American.
For you yougnsters, Mr. Shelby is of the "Shelby Cobra" fame...yep, East Texas Speed personified...carry on.
