Best 2 of three series. Games being played Fri/Sat @ Cedar Creek HS in Bastrop.

Don't know much about LH this year. I do know based on success in all their programs, they have some solid athletes and I congratulate them for being a well rounded program.

Anyone care to give some insight on the LH baseball team? What they have from the bump, power wise, hitting, etc. Thanks. Should be a good tight series IMO. Yoakum finally got their bats going in the last game versus a descent Hondo scrappy club.

Parks is the core of the team , pitching and hitting . Rest of the team is solid as well , went 9-1 in district this year only getting beat by Salado in the last game. Should be a good series.

Same to ya'll 44. Heard from our HC yesterday, LH is the real deal. We gotta play sound, no mistake ball to contend in this series. Appears we will be chasing a playing field tomorrow due to weather. Do have a couple tuff fields lined up in case we have to travel.

It appears field chasing will be in order for Friday's game. Supposedly they have some tuff fields lined out. Might be ok weather wise in Bastrop for the Saturday games. Appears these storms (moving NE from the South) are heading directly towards Bastrop today.

Is there still a midnight cut off time by the UIL for baseball games played? Or, do they make exceptions for playoff games? Heard it might have been changed to get these playoff games in recently. Some of these turf fields (Shiner and Hallettsville) might be able to host a couple games if they start the first game around 5 or 6PM.

Jake Ramires is the other pitcher. He's either 8-0 or 9-0 on the year. Pitching is LH's strongest attribute.
