How many coaches in schools today are veterans? And of those, how many of them try their military tactics with their athletes as means of motivation to work in their respective sports? Just curious....

I was in the Army before finishing my degree and getting into the coaching profession. I think every kid should have to go through boot camp before being allowed to enter public schools.
If we used tactics that drill sgts. used on us with our athletes they'd fire us so quick your head would spin!

Come to think of it...I have never met a coach that was a veteran.

They wouldn't use any of them because kids have no concept of watching out for each other as anyone that has experienced combat does. Way too much superfulous BS goes on in high school. There is no way that a Coach/veteran would be able to hold on thier to job talking the way they do to other subordinates. The F-bomb is universally used as an adverb, adjective, verb and noun.
