What? You are kidding! I have never heard of a Longhorn being in trouble with the law.

It's just a different society now. Back in the Earl Campbell days when I was at UT, they let alot of this kind of thing slide...not only at UT, but every school nationally. Young men at college are gonna party and get rowdy, even in today's hardened justice system. You just can't expect any leniency from the law nowadays, end of story. It will take some maneuvering after the fact to find relief, regardless of your standing, politicians included.

A rather minor incident in my opinion.

I can't fault them for not leaving.

Have you seen what happens to texas fans when they run out in the street?

Thugs

Thugs??? You gained that from them refusing to leave an establishment? That's real gangsta right there. I think their next crime should be running red lights and stop signs. That would be a step up.

The word "thug" is the most overused word on this forum.

Like I always say, Gotta love small town Texas.

You must not read enough topics to know that the word "Thug" is used in a joking manner to mock those who use the word "Thug" out of context.
That was the case here.

I think he was being sarcastic :crazy1:

wow - some 20 year old guys getting rowdy in a bar.. Imagine that.. JEEZ - I have no doubt there is probably more to the story but based on the facts presented - sounds like a non-story to me..

fair enough I can see why folks would be upset at that comment. I would hope these guys would be a little smarter than that.

Oh ok. Kind of like our overused word on Smoaky...."classless". If your team beats another by more than 25 points your coach has no class.

I can see why you would see this story as racist but I have another theory. At some point someone taught a class on how to keep your kids off the news after they do something stupid but "conveniently" someone forgot to send the memo to the black parents.

Personally I think it's a conspiracy.

Don't ask a white person about this class b/c they were trained to deny it.

I'm not sure about that one and it has nothing to do with race. We need to know more of the story. Oh well, guess the story is a result of a slow news day and our discussion about this is a result of no football.

These guys ordered a Pizza from Rogelio's on east 6Th when the cop said move along and they told the cop that they were waiting on their Pizza and wasn't leaving until they had it!! Plus they had words several minutes before with another group of guys which prompted the cop to their Pizza location......no real news here..just a cop with a chip on his shoulder and some mouthy kids!!

Hasn't Vaccaro had problems in the past. What was the deal on his senior year at Brownwood? Why would Texas take a guy like that usually they stay away from guys like that.
