Jasper beat Rusk in two games 4-1, and 13-1 in 5 innings.

Thursday & Friday in Lufkin at 7:30. (Morris Franks Park)
Saturday if needed at 6.

SCHEDULE UPDATE!!

Game 1: Friday @ 7:30
Game 2: Saturday @ 4:00
Game 3: Follows Game 2 if needed.
All games still at Morris Franks Park.

Game status unknown at this point due to weather. I know Lufkin covered their field last night and so did Jasper just in case they can play there if needed.

Game 1 will be played today (Friday) at 6 to avoid weather. Saturday TBD.

Jasper 9, Madisonville 0, Final

Time and location of game 2 to be decided by the weather tomorrow. Officially it was set for 4:00 pm in Lufkin.

Jasper won the second game in 8 innings by 8-7 to sweep the series.

Jasper took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Then the bottom fell out for Jasper in the top of the second as Madisonville scored 6 runs. Jasper kept clawing back (how does a Dog claw?) to finally tie the game in the bottom of the sixth. Props to the Madisonville left fielder. He robbed Jasper of several key hits on shoestring catches that had he missed probably would have blown the game open for Jasper. Ditto for the Madisonville shortstop for some unbelievable plays. Madisonville had a good team. It just was not their series to win.

Jasper will be playing China Spring, time and place TBD.

Some dogs claw...like Beagles. They will dig holes under a fence just to get on the other side. And then they'll dig a totally different one to get back in, LOL.

well that must be what jasper did today. clawed themselves into a very deep hole; then clawed right back out. good thing. clawed out just ahead of the rain. got soaked going to my car.
