I was looking at a program from last year last night and counted around 43 seniors that will be on Celina varsity this year. If thats the case then Celina will probably have around 60 players on varsity that has got to be the most ever.

And that's before they get this years new crop of recruits. Numbers ought to be really good after that! (Just being playful!)

60 varsity players is about an average year for Wylie, but 43 seniors is quite a lot! That number can be a blessing this year if ya'll get it done...but can be devestating if those seniors carry the team and then are gone next year. In 09 we had a large senior class that took us all the way to the title game, and then the following year barely above .500 on the season and out by the second round of the playoffs..

Sounds like you have a good base for a deep run...make it count!

Didn't we only have like around 30 players on the team this year at Sweeny?

China Spring numbers run 40-50 depending upon size of Senior class. 08 team had 53 suit up; 35 being Seniors.

Argyle is losing 23 seniors to graduation this year, but has a very deep core of players that saw lots of action. Argyle generally platoons and plays many players, so that gives the younger players an opportunity to develop their skills on varsity instead of riding the bench all year. The JV had a successful campaign as well, so we'll just have to see what kind of team the coaches can come up with.

43 seniors is a lot to have at a 5A school, not to mention a small 3A like Celina. Even for them, that's crazy.

The Celina junior class is a small one working through the system, but the upcoming sophomores are outstanding.
