For 2012 in football, Celina is the probably the favorite. Argyle is a question mark at this point on how good they will really be. Carrollton Ranchview may finally break out with a competitive team for 2012. Aubrey has GA Moore and is building his program. Frisco Lone Star is in its 2nd season, and has numbers, but is trying to establish itself as being competitive in this North Texas district that surrrounds the the Northern borders of Lewisville, Frisco, Plano, and Denton will small communities just outside the larger 4A and 5A districts around the Metroplex. Here's my guess:
Celina, Argyle, Aubrey, Ranchview, and Lone Star. Some surprises(upsets) could occur in this district for 2012.

I plead the 5th.

Celina
Argyle
Lone Star
Aubrey
Ranchview

Lone Star is getting better and Ranchview is getting worse. Aubrey is graduating a pretty good class and their backups and JV kids are average at best. Aubrey may well secure the 3rd spot (the old man can still coach) but I think Lone Star will.

Well, if Lone Star gets in, they will be the D1 school and that means a whole different playoff scenario for DII in Region 2 with Argyle involved. I was kinda thinking Aubrey would definitely secure that spot this year for sure, and Argyle would go D1.

You may be right but If I were betting a "sawbuck" I'd put it on Lone Star. It will be one of those 2 as Ranchview has fallen off the map. Here is what they did last season:

Ranchview
26-Aug Celina A 7:30 (L 49-6)
2-Sep Prosper H 7:30 (L 54-13)
9-Sep Aubrey H 7:30 (L 30-12)
16-Sep Decatur A 7:30 (L 42-19)
23-Sep Kennedale A 7:30 (L 69-31)
7-Oct Wilmer Hutchins H 7:00* (L 43-7)
14-Oct Polytechnic H 7:30* (W 27-20)
21-Oct Madison A 7:30* (L 59-3)
27-Oct Roosevelt H 7:00* (L 13-7)
4-Nov Diamond Hill-Jarvis A 7:00* (W 68-8)

I think the Celina Argyle game will be a dog fight. If Celina's young runningbacks produce Celina will be very tough. Celina's backfield will be one of the fastest they have had they are just very young.

Celina and Argyle will each have all season to get ready for the battle. A battle it will be, I can assure you of that...everything left on the field. Should be a good one.:vrycnfsd:

It would be cool to see an Argyle Celina rivalry kinda like the old Celina Pilot Point rivalry.

1. Celina
2. Argyle
3. Aubrey
4. Lonestar
5. Ranchview
1&2 should be close but I think Celina is the favorite on paper right now, Aubrey at #3 due to their coach but Lonestar with a chance. I have to agree with bigwood on Ranchview, they just haven't shown any improvement.
