High School Robotics

Our school just started a robotics program and I was wondering if any of you had any past experiences in this area.

Does your school have a robotics program?
Have your kids been involved in a robotics program?

This years competition was a basketball shooting robot.

When I coached at Caddo Mills we had one there. The program is sponsored by Raytheon I think. I know we had 4 kids over a 3 year period get full rides to ATM through Raytheon to join their engineering program with guaranteed jobs with Raytheon upon graduation. Hell of a Program IMO!

I'd never heard of a robotics program in hs before opening this thread.
