Jasper had a rough 2nd half of district but it seemed that in the last two games they were getting back in the groove.

This doesn't really relate directly to the game but its still notable. For the past several (5+) years, Jasper has always gotten out of school and went and ate at Elijah's Cafe, a local place that always supports Jasper sports, before playoff games. It's a tradition that is enjoyed by both the team and the community. This year, however, our overbearing principal has banned the action and will not even let us (I'm on the baseball team) out of school early. He has done this all year with nearly all school organizations. It literally seems like he is trying to ruin tradition.

I saw something last night that I do not remember ever having seen. Rusk soft liner to medium RF, one hopper. RF throws out runner at first in a fairly close call.

The teams were pretty evenly matched, but I think Jasper will take it in two tonight if they eliminate their mental errors on the base paths.

I can tell you that the RF has wanted to do that all year. He has tried several times and it has been close but the runner was always safe. That was a rare occasion that Coach Mixon smiled during a game.
