They are targeting a mid to late next week release from the hospital for Missy. Over a 2 month stay, we are so excited. She'll require 2 months of home health visits for the open wound they are leaving open with a vacuum device attached to it, along with two abdomen drains and her colostomy. The other 4 drains will be removed Monday. Antibiotics were stopped yesterday. Was on them 5 weeks and they are thinking her body will take care of the remaining infection. Plus, they don't want her on the antibiotics any longer in case they have to go back to it should the infection flair up again. Don't want her to gain immunity to it. She's worked so hard to get to this point. So proud of her.
Missy will require further surgery in 6 months (she told doctor after football season). LOL. We want to thank everyone for the prayers for our family during this very scary time. Really is POWER in it and it is much appreciated.
