We might go check it out. I wasn't able to drive 3 hours to go watch the 2a meet in San Antonio , but might be able to watch some of my former kids run there in corpus. Thanks for the info.

Abby Sheppard - Cuero 14.05 100 meter hurdles. That is flying. Probably wind aided but still flying.

Wait and see what she does in the 300 hurdles. Running after Tanasiah Griffin's 44.44 record from 1991. Same year Travis Droupy ran 37.20. Great year for Cuero hurdlers.

Heard that she was suffering all week from bronchitis. She ran a 43. something at district so expect her to be much better in a couple of weeks in Austin. Not many people could have accomplished what she did this weekend under those conditions.

Abby Sheppard actually broke Tanasiah Griffen's record last year with a time of 44.03. Calallen did not make the change, somehow that doesn't surprise me. Hopefully they can get it corrected.

I read that Lubbock Estacado Boys won Region I, Celina Region II and Stafford won Region III.

Anyone have any info on Boys Region IV?

Where can we see results for Regions 1 and 4. Region 2 dominated Region 3 (at least the boys did) and I'd like to see the rest of the state.

WOW! 10.25 is flying! The top 3 times in the boys 4x4 were: Celina- 3:15, LE- 3:17, and Carthage- 3:19. The 4x1 and 2 were impressive too!

I left before they announced the team winners. Sorry. Caller.com should have something tomorrow. In the meantime, here is some of what I remember. Sorry if I'm wrong on some of these:

BOYS RELAYS: Salado won 4x100; West Columbia won 4x200 and Ingleside won 4x400
GIRLS RELAYS: La Vernia won 4x100; West Oso won 4x200 and I THINK Goliad won 4x400

West Oso girl also won the 100m & 200m.
Liberty Hill's Susie Kemper (?) won both the 800m & 1600m.
Liberty Hill boys also took 1 & 2 in the 800m.
Rockport boy took 1st in the 300 Hurdles & Wharton took 2nd
Taylor & Sweeny took 1 & 2 in boys 100m
Taylor & Salado took 1 & 2 in boys 200m (I THINK)
Ingleside boy finished 2nd in 400m
Port Isabel boy finished 1st in 1600m
As posted earlier, Cuero's Abigial won both 100H & 300H with La Vernia finishing 2nd, I believe
Lyford & Rio Hondo had some qualifiers too, but I forgot in what races.

Sorry --- I should have posted up to minute results, but it was HOT, WINDY & my phone battery would not have held up the entire meet.

Congrats to all who advanced to STATE!

A buddy of mine that played a little safety in NFL Europe was there and he called me to tell me the Celina boys were awesome and looked like they had a great weight program.

This is where I found Region III. http://flashresultstexas.com/2012/region3track12/ The last race on Saturday for each group also gives the meet results if you scroll down.

Still have not found results for Region IV.

Most of the boys information is there, except for the tripple jump and the shot put. Will the UIL post the results on their website?

Based on the results that I have seen so far, it sure looks like the speed is in Regions 1 and 2 this year.

I don't remember seeing any Prosper boys in the finals and very few girls. I know a kid (boy) on their 4x4 relay and they didn't make the finals. There also wasn't much of a Lovejoy presence. For their numbers, they sure had a low presence.

I encourage anyone who hasn't been to the State Meet to go. You get to see "near" world class athletes every year and some years, real world class athletes. The Texas State Track Meet is a spectacle! I will say however, that I preferred Memorial Stadium but that's just me.

Bailey is the easiest striding runner I have seen in high school in a long time. Not sure what he will be able to do in the future. Some great times, but Bailey's was the only meet record. Texas must run some pretty good track in additon to playing some pretty good football. I hope there is a video of Bailey's performance.
