Columbia (4-2, 18-3) vs. Needville (4-3, 8-7) rained out. Game possibly being played tomorrow @ 1 PM.

Sweeny has wrapped up the D29 championship, Columbia and Needville battling for 2nd and 3rd.

Argyle blasted Sanger tonite 18-3 in a showdown for the district 9 championship. Sanger will be the runner-up and the third place team will most probably be Aubrey. They needed to win tonite against Gainesville to secure a third place playoff spot, and I suspect they did. Here's what the final standings will look like in district 9 going into the playoffs:
1. Argyle(9-1, 20-5)
2. Sanger(7-3, 14-11)
3. Aubrey(6-4, 12-12) not official yet, but if they won, this is their record.

Nacogdoches defeated jacksonville 15-3 as Dakota Phillips smashed 3 home runs to clinch a playoff spot. His las one had to be 420 as he hit it over the scoreboard in rf. nac plays hallsville for second place next Friday.

Farmersville lost to Lovejoy in Lucas 1-4. Since Prosper won Friday night they will take the district title and be the #1 seed and a tie breaker will have to be in place between Farmersville and Lovejoy. I haven't heard what that tie breaker will be..... More to come.
