You can do an advanced search using the entire 2010 football season dates as a parameter. That should tell you everything. His name pops up in more than 50 % of the threads..and that's being conservative..lol

I've only been on 3ADL since 2010, so I can't speak of anything earlier. The 2010 season he kept things interesting, he was a tad bit of a homer, but entertaining. Anyone know what happened to him?

The last I heard he and a poster named Black Magic were running a pottery barn in New Mexico.

I'm sure we will here from him once the season gets ready to kick off.

I may have understated the homer part, but apparently he's not here to defend himself so I was being polite.

After reading his post, I can deal with an over the top homer who's entertaining and Rocket definitately was that. Hope Brownwood does well so he will come back.

We have a guy on Smoaky named JtownFiddler who writes news stories anytime houston yates has a lopsided victory in basketball or a lopsided loss in other sports. He is a riot. Here's his last story

"The not so mighty Lions from the Third Ward of Houston Yates took another pounding on the diamond Monday evening this time at the hands of the Wombats from Houston Waltrip by the slim margin of 36-0. The game was played before a rather sparse crowd which included six people, however three of which were umpires. Taking the mound for the Lions was fireballer Addison Aitch, a southpaw whose fastball has been compared to that of a Tim Wakefield changeup and a player who many have wondered might be a righty, a positive sign for the Wombats. Things started out surprisingly well for Aitch as he made it five pitches into the first at bat before a base hit, a season high for him. The game quickly got out of hand as a grand slam by clean up hitter Alex Scheel put the Wombats in cruise control just twelve pitches into the game. The Lions knew they were once again in for a long day, leaving numerous field players to begin texting in between hits. In what seemed like a bit of Groundhog Day the Wombats pounded out hit after hit in a never ending first inning. Not even a visit to the mound by head coach and the Lieutenant of Losing Ladarian Straus, a bit of a Kenny Powers clone with a temper to match, could ease the beatdown of the revenge minded Wombats. After the dust settled and 53 minutes had elapsed the top of the first inning ended with the Lions trailing by a manageable 23-0 margin. The lethargic Lions took to the plate looking for someone to reach first base, a task taken on by leadoff man Xavier "Spring" Flowers who unfortunately has yet to bloom as he struck out swinging on three pitches. With only six more pitches hurler Evan Ortiz was out of the first and anxiously headed back to the plate where he got his first three hits of the season in the first inning. Ortiz blasted the first pitch of the second inning to dead center where center fielder Fleming Gaskin, a non believer of the Tom Emanski Drills Dvd who some have compared defensive skills to that of an aging Jose Canseco had a field day with it. In a scene that resembled an ode to the release of the Three Stooges movie Gaskin bobbled the ball while running into the fence and into right fielder Flowers causing them both to go down, leading Ortiz to perform the Deion Sanders dance from second all the way home for an inside the park home run. Coach Straus could only shake his head in disbelief as his blood pressure reached dangerous levels. Having seen enough, Straus finally gave Aitch the hook after giving up a mere 27 runs in an inning and a third which suprisingly lowered his era on the year to 47.45. The Wombats managed to tack on 9 more in the second to push their advantage to 32-0, leading the mother of Ortiz to start the "You can thank Wise" chant, an obvious reference to the revenge the rest of district will lay on this team thanks to the Reverend of Roundball himself. The Lions once again failed to muster anything at the plate in the second, with 9 strikes doing the duty in an inning lasting only 90 seconds. The third inning was designated for all Wombat hitters to bat left handed, which the Lions managed to work their way out of a bases loaded jam for a surprisingly scoreless inning. Ortiz mowed down the first two batters of the third until ninth hitter Chaz Cross did the impossible by closing his eyes out of fear and swinging, connecting on a shot down the third base line to the fence. As was typical on this day however Cross only managed a single after the shock of the hit left him standing at the plate for over ten seconds. An upset Ortiz wrapped up the inning with a slider to Flowers in the dirt that not even a nine iron would have connected on. The hot hitting Wombats decided on bunting practice for the fourth inning, a strategy the Lions head scratching defense couldn't quite grasp as they were continually caught on their heels. Eight bunt hits and four runs later the Lions finally headed to the last half of their nightmare game, only needing 21 runs to continue the game. Seeking to further embarrass the Lions, Ortiz pitched the fourth in slow pitch softball style, leading two players to fall down on ferocious cuts and many Wombat players to get a bit of a laugh. The Lions were put out of their misery as Gaskin fanned on a 26 mph lob ball to end things with the Wombats taking the slugfest 36-0. Many Lions players, forced into baseball after getting cut from track, are considering jazz band after the loss to the Wombats and last weeks 28-1 thrashing at the hands of Houston Reagan. The Lions fall to 1-6 on the year thus far, having been outscored 120-25, a number very similar to one of their basketball scores with their lone victory coming in a Miracle on Ice-esque 8-7 win over winless Houston Sharpestown. Coach Straus placed the blame on two areas, saying the new bats have effected his team more than any in the state, and blamed the "Smash Da Gas" method of basketball coach Greg Wise. When reached by phone for comment on this, Wise stated he was too busy recruiting to speak on it. In an attempt to boost Rpi and gain an at large berth to the playoffs the Lions will be looking to schedule a warm up game with either the Leverett's Chapel Llamas or the Big Sandy Beavers hoping to gain an important victory against equally struggling competition. Save your time and avoid coming to the next game tomorrow against Houston Sterling which will surely get ugly quick.

JtownFiddler's work is awesome stuff.

It's rumored that he might freelance for Labuddie this season since a native East Texan is taking over out there.

I'm trying!! Since being "loaned out" to our sister company, I very rarely have time to post at work anymore!! The only reason I can today is because I am waiting on the computer repairmen to get here!!

My granddaughter (who is 5 years old today, BTW) makes it hard for me to post at home. If KiKi is sitting down looking at the computer then she is obviously not too busy to play!!! I forget how exhausting an energetic little one can be!!

I am not sure if I will get a chance to come out west to see Alvarado play this year.. might have to wait if we meet in the playoffs..because lord knows Alvarado is going to make the playoffs in that crappy district. btw, I do have Alvarado beating them yellerjackets.. I think them S-ville folks are toooooo confident.. Heck i bet they lose to Venus too..lol
