I cant fault him. He would be in Austin for Jaxon and the money was going to be good. However, he is staying here. Glad to have him.

What is wrong with exercising an opportunity to keep the family together when presented. Ship is a great asset to Brownwood, and we are glad we have him. Sure as heck don't have any ill feelings toward him for looking, I would do the same if offered. I just think that if you are having to rebuild after losing an OC, a dang fine one at that, and several other staff members, might as well start fresh at somewhere else. He is a great leader and Leander missed a huge chance, their loss and our Gain!

Never said anything was wrong with it LF72. Just wanted some perspective from the people close and the feedback is appreciated. When you get a good one and then you lose him it puts a sick feeling in the gut because you know he's good for the kids and will be greatly missed. Just feel fortunate we've had Coach Nelms for a while now and hope he retires a Texan.

Just feel fortunate we've had Coach Nelms for a while now and hope he retires a Texan. While most of us hope he stays a long time, we also knew there would be a good possibility when his youngest daughter graduated, he could very well likely move on to other possibilities, she graduates next month, so won't be surprised at any rumors or stories that pop up about other opportunities elsewhere, but also won't be surprised if he stays awhile longer, he'll be great asset where ever and what ever he decides to go and do.
