They still haven't snapped on Prosper yet. Prosper has played a tough schedule and lost one game in 3A, if I am not mistaken. Argyle the same... to Prosper 4-3. I would rate Prosper in the Top 5 (seriously). I don't think I'm wrong on the quality of their team. Of course, playoff time will tell the story...about pitching matchups and timely clutch hitting. We will have to play them, more than likely.

Prosper is a very good team...They beat the Farmers the first time at their house..Farmers turned the tables tonight and beat them 1-0 in Farmersville. Great game to watch..another barn burner for the Farmers but get great pitching (4 hits..same kid who pitched Lovejoy game) with great team defense and timely hitting to pull this one out...Almost a replica of the 1-0 win over Lovejoy last Wednesday night. Farmers have taken down two top quality teams in less than a week and now haven taken the lead in 11-3a at 6-1...going to be a fun race to the finish in this district.

You are mistaken! Prosper has lost 3 games now to 3A teams. Princeton beat them in a non-district game, Lovejoy beat them and now the Farmers have beaten them.

And can someone please explain to me why the Farmers are being put in 3rd place still behind both Prosper and Lovejoy in district 11-3A when they have a better district record than both those teams. The Farmers also have a better overall record than Lovejoy and tied with Prosper's overall record.

Just suffice it to say Farmersville wasn't predicted in preseason to do this well, and the THSBCA polls had both Prosper and Lovejoy as State ranked teams. Now Farmersville has beaten each, leads the district, and has an equally good record as Prosper, albeit not quite as tough as Prosper's, IMO. Beat Lovejoy again, and you may move ahead of them, but I doubt you will jump Prosper.

Just for conversation: Records in head to head matchups of the big 4 in district 11-3A (Prosper, Lovejoy, Farmersville, Princeton).

Prosper= 2-3
Lovejoy= 2-3
Princeton= 2-5
Farmers= 4-1

Oh, okay you are talking about DISTRICT records. Yeah, man. You guys should be on the top line there. I don't get that either.

I wasn't really talking about the AP state rankings. I was talking about placement in district standings. I checked every other 3A district in the state and don't find another case of a team with the best district record or best overall record not being displayed as the top team. The Farmers are being shown as the 3rd team in the district when they are actually the district leaders................... that's all i was saying! Someone goofed with the standings!

Appears to me Carthage will have the easier bracket in Region 2 to the finals. However, they will still need to face very good teams that are runner-ups from 11 and 15, so those will be tough games. District 11 is loaded with 3 high quality playoff teams, and 15 has Paris and Pleasant Grove going at it neck and neck. Not sure about the other teams in some of the other districts because records can be decieving, and baseball in the playoffs is about pitching matchups and timely hitting.
