Your son is a good RB, Cobra. Both times I have seen him against the Bulls he has gashed us. If he got as many carries as Onderdonk I think he would be up pretty close to him. This year he should shine. Best of luck to him for a great season coming up---of course I hope you don't mind if we sort of try to contain him for the Alvarado game. :D

I don't ever have any favorites, other than one of my kids when they played, on the Bulls. However, Gabe Huerta, #3 will be worth watching this season at RB for the Bulls. He is not big, but very quick and strong for his size. He provides a big threat complement to the Bulls prolific passing game.

I'll throw a Wimberley guy into the mix. Not a skill positions player but a two-way starter and a major contributor to last year's SC run. If you caught that final game you could hear his name being called over and over again. I look for him to have another stellar year.

I say we get Gabe Huerta's parents a good job in the Port Isabel area, STAT!

I'd recruit the hell out of him. AND he's got the correct last name. :D He'd fit right in.

looking forward to seeing this entire team again, especially #3 Floyd Bess

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PHrIquQzsQ

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-OtS9v02XE&feature=fvwrel

Had 1245 yards, 12 tds rushing, caught 2 passes for 48 yds and a td, recorded 59 tackles with 4 sacks and a forced fumble on D.

In WC's semi-final loss to Chapel Hill 21-16, Bess led the Rouchnecks with 128 yards and a TD, all this while splitting carries with Sean Flannel (1558 yards and 21 tds), Treylon Johnican (253 yards and 3 tds), Broderick Thomas (337 yards and 3 tds), etc.

With Flannel graduating and QB Johnican graduating, Bess becomes the feature player and is going to have a huge year. :)

i think Alvarado will pass more this year...the thing is, if they do, he will be a big part of that too! monster breakout for #8 this next season for sure! couple that with the "young guns" the Indians have coming up on defense this year..and if they are as good as i think they are..gonna be another great season for the Indians!

I agree with Alden being a great player this SC year and for sure next year, he is all over the field and IMO he or Trinity Wilson should have been Def MVP. There are a couple of other "unsung" hero's from that SC team that I can't wait to see this year - Colby Kelly RB/DE - Conner Kothman TE/DE - Reed Jones S/QB...

I was really high on Kelly last year and can't wait to see him unleashed. You'd think he's gotta be the primary back this year. Kothman and Jones will be solid. I read where you feel we have enough to make another run. I'm not so sure. We lost a lot....maybe you can convince me otherwise.

I really do. Very similar to the 06 team. The 06 team was very good, Bad luck at the Reg. Championship game with injuries and sickness.

The defense should be as good or better. IMO DT's will be same or slightly better; DE's will be better; ILB's will be same or slightly better; OLB's slightly better; DB's is a question mark, Jones won't be at safety much if any, but have no less than 5 or 6 good players to chose from to step up or play a new position.

The Offense could be better if a couple of new receivers will step up. IMO OL will be better; RB's slightly better; Receivers same or slightly better (better only because they will play more as a team) QB could be better, great vision, good arm, smart player. (has to overcome inexperience though)

Eight Jr's and one soph made all district last year and there are some really good players that played part time, special teams, or back up for a very strong SC team and have waited their turn as seniors to be, and a handful of JV players that would have been playing some varsity any other year. We have one move in that I know of that may be a starter. A couple of those JV players will be playing some receiver and DB for sure. There is some size and speed there, it will be fun to see who steps up and wins some spots.
