Comments: Update from southeast Texas, battle of state ranked and previously unbeaten teams in District 22-3A went to Huffman Hargave as they beat top ranked Splendora 4-3. Huffman's Freshmen left handed pitcher Holly Soniat and Splendora's Sr. left hander Kacy Freeze treated the over flow crowd to a pitcher's duel, down to the very last pitch. While Freeze went the distance for the Lady Cats, Soniat entered in long relief, two outs into the top of the 3rd inning. Soniat struck out six and only allowed one run to lead her team to the win. Lampasas defeated Stephenville 5-1. Allie Turner fanned 14 as Kennedale blanked Burleson Centennial 2-0 Mineral Wells slammed Decatur 121 and Castleberry 18-3 as Krysten Marr hurled the win with offensive support form Bethany Allen and Chandler Ortiz. Lovejoy beat Lone Star 16-0 and Princeton 4-0 while Aubrey (16-2) beat Argyle 5-1. The Pleasanton Lady Eagles continued their quest forward as they defeated Sam Houston 15-0 and Gonzales 4-2 victory. Pleasanton Junior Pitcher Emma Garcia improved to 15-1 (pitched the Gonzales game) as she improved her overall Ks to 214 on the season.
Pleasanton is now 17-1 on the season and is 6-0 in district. West 14 Hillsboro 0 in 5th, Erin Knox 7 Ks and 1 hit against Hillsboro in district opener. Kennedale defeats Celina 3-2 - Allie Turner relieves the starting pitcher in the first inning that allowed 2earned runs. Allie Turner pitched another awesome game shutting Celina out from that point. First time in 8 years that Kennedale has defeated Celina. Henderson beat Harmony 10 -0 in 5 innings then lost to Central Heights in 10 innings 2-1 beat Elysian Fields 6-2. Crandall beat Ferris 13-2. Crandall is 12 wins and 3 losses. The Pleasanton Lady Eagles defeated the Yoakum Lady Dogs 3-0 and Poteet 8-2 at home.

Comments: Shiner (6-4, 0-1) beat 2A Marion 5-0, Sealy 9-8 and 2A Hallettsville 12-1 but the Comanches lost their district opener to Ganado 9-8. Shiner won 18-2 the lost to Flatonia who improved to 9-1. Grapeland lost to 3A Chapel Hill 2-0, lost to 3A Brownsboro 6-5, beat 2A Winnsboro 7-6, beat 2A Grand Saline 22-7, beat 3A Palestine 19-2 and beat Lovelady 10-0. Albany lost to 2A Ballinger 3-1 and beat Baird. Seymour blanked Quanah 25-0. Chico beat Lindsay 7-6. Petrolia lost to 3A Bowie 10-9 but beat Bryson 22-0. Itasca (6-5) lost to Hubbard 10-1. Mart lost to 3A Groesbeck 5-2 but Sam Rayburn (12-3-1) beat 3A Van Alstyne 14-3 and 3A Farmersville 11-0 3A Prosper 20-2. Charlotte (11-2, 1-0) beat Sabinal 11-0 on 3/5. Blue Ridge lost to 3A Bonham 12-0. Ralls (10-4, 1-2) lost to Sundown 16-10, but beat Crosbyton 15-0. Beckville (15-0, 4-0) beat Garrison 7-4 beat Timpson 10-0 and beat Martinsville 15-0. Falls City lost to Woodsboro 3-2 but beat Pettus 6-0. Holland lost to 3A Salado 13-1, but beat Burton and Milano 2-1 then beat Bartlett 27-8 on 3/16. Seymour also beat Graham 9-4 and lost to 3A Iowa Park 3-0. Seymour beat Archer City 12-3 and 2A Childress 18-11. Ralls beat Hale Center 18-0. In more recent games, Grapeland beat Slocum 6-5; Albany beat Haskell 6-3 and Eula 5-3. Beckville beat Chireno 13-2. Itasca (7-7) beat Advantage Academy 18-1 and lost to Bosqueville 6-3. Sam Rayburn (14-3-1, 2-0) beat Trenton 18-1 and Ector 17-0. Charlotte beat Brackett 15-2. Dodd City beat Trenton 29-0. On 3/23 Blue Ridge beat Bland 13-0. On 3/24 Ganado beat Louise 14-0. Chico (9-8, 3-0) beat Muenster 15-0 and Valley View 15-0. McLeod beat Maud 20-14. Ralls beat New Deal 4-3 but Lockney lost to New Deal 17-9. Falls City beat Yorktown 12-0 and Runge 11-0. McLean lost to West Texas 29-6. Thrall beat Bartlett 10-2. Lindsay beat Muenster 19-0 and beat Collinsville 16-0. Windthorst (12-7, 2-0) beat Olney 6-2 and Bryson 21-1.

Comments: Holliday beat Krum 11-3, Henrietta 17-2 and Alvord 12-5. Santa Gertrudis Academy is 10-2 aft4er wins over Edinburg Quest and Hebbronville. Tom Bean is 131 after beating Callisburg 8-1. Hawley continued their undefeated district season last week with a 4-2 victory at Breckenridge, and then finished off the week with an 8-3 victory at home over Merkel. Mineola defeated Grand Saline 10-0 and Winnsboro 10-2 last week and have outscored their opposition 160-25 while compiling an 18-0 record. Bruceville-Eddy beat Franklin 6-0 in seven innings but lost to Crawford 10-9 in nine innings then split a double header with 3A Lorena. Bruceville Eddy beat McGregor 15-0, Marlin 20 to 0, and Hearne 20-0. Brock lost in district, 10-5 to Paradise. Boyd is now 11-6 as they beat Jacksboro 9-1 but lost to Paradise 2-1 and Millsap tonight 8-4, putting them 1-2 in district. Weimar defeated Brazos 15-0 in three and Hempstead 11-0. Danbury hosted 3A Sealy Friday and got a stand-up double from Lady Panther Lillie Box with two outs in the bottom of the 7th to break a 2-2 tie and giving Danbury a thrilling 3-2 win over the Lady Tigers. Junbction has lost twice to Wall but beat Ingram 14-1. City View is 14-4 with recent wins over: Holliday 12, Alvord and Henrietta.

Comments: Stephenville defeated Killeen and Waco University to remain undefeated in district play improving to 16-4. Brenham lost to Magnolia 11-10 in the bottom of the 7th after trailing 10-3 in the top of the 7th, Brenham scored 7 to tie but lost in the bottom of the frame. Brenham rebounded to beat Stratford 5-2 and improve to 19-5, 5-2 in district. Magnolia lost to Montgomery to fall to 5-2 in district. Montgomery is 7-0. Ennis is 18-2-1, 6-0. Entering this week, Riley Fira leads the DFW 4A Area with 9 HR and 41 RBI. Ennis added wins over Lancaster 17-0 and a 16-0 win over West Mesquite. Riley Fira hit her 9th home run of the season vs. West Mesquite. Kamren Bragg threw a perfect game vs. Lancaster. Stephenville beat San Angelo Lakeview 10-5 as junior second basemen Leslie Billings hit her 1st HR of the season to become the 5th different Honeybee to go yard this season. Hallsville started district with 5 inning, mercy rule games against Longview Pine Tree 18-0 and John Tyler 10-0 in games where all the subs were in by the 3rd inning and most batters were given the bunt sign by the 3rd inning to hold the score down. Hallsville gave up 2 early unearned runs and a 2 out, 2 run home runs in the top of the 7th to a talented but young Nacogdoches team in a 7-4 win. The 4 runs were the most Hallsville has given up this year and their record is 16-3. Manvel leads their district at 8-0 followed by Ridge 4-4 in fourth place.

Comments: Well is crazy in North Texas as Plano East scored six times in the seventh inning to beat Plano 64 but flower Mound beat East 43. Plano west beat flower Mound 62 but Hebron beat West and Allen so east and Plano are tied for first at 5-1 with West. Flower Mound and Hebron at 3-3. McNeil beat Stony Point this afternoon 1-0 in a 16-5A game which was made up from last Friday’s rainout. McNeil pitcher, Kaci Wellik, had 10 K's and outdueled Stony Point's ace, Jacey Punches Lubbock Monterey beat Lubbock Coronado 3-0 on Saturday while Alvin is 20-1. .Pearland improved to 19-2 after losing to Alvin. Kat Batey pitched a three-hitter and collected a clutch RBI double in a 3-1 Plano win over Flower Mound. The Woodlands improved to 16-3.

Well, except for 1A, but only because there's no 1A school in BC. ;)
