Anybody trolling the forums representing Prime Prep Academy yet?

He is looking to use the Academy to make a reality show...

Primetime might be headed for prime time.
According to TMZ, Deion Sanders is pitching a show to networks about his efforts at his Prime Prep Academy.
From TMZ: "Sources close to Sanders tell TMZ the legendary NFL star is working on a show that will focus on Deion and his work coaching the football team at Prime Academy, the school Deion is opening later this year."
Here's the full TMZ article (http://www.tmz.com/2012/03/10/deion-sanders-reality-show/#.T3UsT7-XQrV).

Sanders spoke to BaD Radio on KTCK-AM 1310 The Ticket in Dallas on Tuesday and confirmed a reality show is being done. He also said the school is getting a lot of flack from Dallas ISD football coaches.
"We're getting a lot of hate though, as usual," he said. "You got a lot of coaches from DISD that are upset that there's a new school coming to town and our kids can come from everywhere. So they're telling these kids 'You can't play for them. You're not going to be eligible. You're not going to be legal to play.' And that's a lie. But it's not affecting our enrollment. They're enrolling as we speak."
Sanders said the show will take viewers on "a fantastic voyage of the inner city."
"You guys need to go get this movie, 'Waiting for Superman,'" Sanders said on the show. "Marry that with 'Friday Night Lights,' and you've got what Prime is about to do. That's all I'm saying. Get your seatbelt on in front of your couch and get ready..."
There's already a hefty bit of concern (http://www.dallasnews.com/news/education/headlines/20120310-deion-sanders-name-brings-positive-and-negative-attention-to-charter-schools-he-helped-found.ece?action=reregister) about Sanders' new school, which -- for coaches -- revolves around how Prime Prep will get its players.
The South Dallas charter school, which has yet to open its doors, will compete in District 11-3A, with Wilmer Hutchins, Roosevelt and Madison, along with Irving North Hills and Ferris. The football team is also slated with some salty non-district games, with Melissa, Navasota and Pittsburg. That's an extremely ambitious schedule for the Neons/Highsteppers/Hammers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM7vqqS8jSI&feature=related), a team that's never taken a snap (Melissa won the 2A-Division I title last year, Navasota made the 3A-1 Region II final).
But, settling (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPomoXbn6po&feature=related) for second-best isn't how Sanders (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJWSm13LBh8) rolls.

Can we reasonably predict at this point which division Prime Prep will enter in the playoffs?

I would not want to be the coach of this team can you imagine not being able to really coac your own team.

I believe this is a dream come true for 3A football. We sit on this site all day and talk about how great 3A football is and with Prime Academy entering the ranks we may get that spotlight we always needed and in turn our kids getting more attention than they normally do in the playoffs.

For instance, Stephenville vs. Prime Academy ESPN and the Ville pulls off the win. I say that's a win for you guys and small town texas 3A. Also, call me naive but this doesn't scare me one bit. I think the consistent top teams will be able to play with anyone on that level. With this school already having 3A numbers at this stage they are bound to grow and won't be here for too long.

primetime recruiters have been seen with proposed lunch menus, and snack time schedules in hand all over Dallas county..so they are working on that:thinking:

Hahaha, Prime Academy is in one of the districts that I got assigned to write up for the TOC FNF magazine. Its been an adventure trying to get player info from them. I might roll with your theory if I dont get any more info from them.

I hope that no coaches sign off on PAP's when they have kids leaving for athletic purposes...which will be all of them. I am sure that the District Executive Committee will decline most of the kids and let the UIL sort this mess out. Hey Deion, this isn't Florida and if you want that, go there.

all i know is...there was a young man on my son's 8th grade team last year, that the years previous had played for Sander's select football teams..he had UA gear that would make NFL players jealous..he played DT and had very good technic and was obviously well coached...my son said he was moving, i asked where? and he said some private school in Dallas somewhere.....i assume to the place that UA will be a big contributer...

Prime Prep Academy, the charter school co-founded by former Cowboy Deion Sanders (http://www.dallasobserver.com/2012-05-03/news/deion-sanders-charter-school-experiment-and-the-making-of-a-prime-time-scam/), recently accepted more than 1,100 students (http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairpark/2012/05/prime_prep_academy_accepts_110.php) for its inaugural school year, and hundreds of those students are slated to attend its campus in Oak Cliff.

http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairpark/2012/05/prime_prep_academy_accepts_110.php

Prime Prep accepted 1100 students and the official UIL enrollment for the next 2 seasons is 500.

Primetime LOL. I wish he would try and play Stephenville. That would be his biggest mistake if he wants a chance to win.

Pretty sure it is 6th to 12th grades only, but that would be much smaller than 1100 from 9-12...
