Let the discussion begin---who's got the toughest 2012 schedule?

Will the No. 1 reply be Stephenville, or anybody playing Stephenville? :D

Split this into 3 points (1) Pre-District, (B) District and (III) Whole season.

In district play I can't see anybody having a tougher schedule than the teams in 16-3A.

My vote for district would have to be Spring Hill... Gilmer, Henderson, Kilgore, Chapel Hill and Gladewater. Hopefully they throw GW in the middle to give them a break.

And you left out Bullard who got three rounds deep last season, and has almost everybody back. Spring Hill loses their head coach / athletic director, then gets put into a murderer's row district. Poor Spring Hill.....

Yea... Forgot about Bullard...

Bullard brings back a lot minus the ones that are now at Brook Hill.

Chapel Hills is brutal.

16-3A plus Carthage Lindale Palestine and Whitehouse in non-district. These young guys gonna have to grow up quick.

Non-district wise I'd put Stephenville's schedule up against anyone's....they got a salty slate....overall it'd have to be someone in 16-3A IMO

Alvarado's non-district will be interesting..
Bridgeport--our secondary will be fast, but young..they will grow up some in this game.
Decatur-----a program on the rise.
China Spring-better than you think they are!....just ask La Vega.
FW Southwest-9-2 last year and returning alot..will be a good game.
Waco Connally-getting better, but still a ways to go.
Mexia--ehh...wish we could have worked something out with Kennedale, La Vega, or Robinson...

As usual, Wylie's schedule is no cakewalk..

Argyle
Bridgeport
Graham
Brownwood
Lubbock Estacado

And then when district starts..
Monahans
Snyder
Sweetwater (a program on the rise)
Midland Greenwood
Big Spring

That's 7 deep playoff teams, and a couple more that will be improved this coming year..

Y'all got all the luck for the next two years...I got no problem with the Pups & the Bux having a State Crown...sets the stage for 2014.

Llano's will be tough with a new HC and system to learn, not to mention their district opponents.

I was looking at the schedule and hit the Smithville one when looking at LH. Looks like Smithville could have a pretty tuff road ahead with the schools they will be playing.

If coach S went to Longview, they would finalLy win the SC. Longview has more talent than anyone in East Texas, It would be scary how good coach S could have them playing.

Tyler Spring Hill, without a doubt. You have to consider the team, and then it's schedule. Spring Hill wins the worst schedule(for what they should be scheduling) simply because there's no way to expect them to compete. And now they are open for a new HC, I believe. It's like asking Hillsboro to play the District of Doom every week. UIL should've tried to put them in a different district.

I guess that's Longview Spring Hill, but everybody knows who I'm talking about anyways.

I'll go ahead and weigh in for the Coogs...

Week 0: Galveston Ball (4A) "Clash of the Causeway"...Season starts with biggest rival...can literally throw records out the window...in 2010 LM went to the 4A state game and Ball was 1-9...LM beat Ball 14-13 in Week 8 on a last second TD. It is a war. Televised this year.

Week 1: Texas City (4A) "Battle by the Bay"...Both teams attend a luncheon gameday...crazy atmosphere with both bands, mayors, towns at the banquet...last year LM beat TC to snap a 4 game streak by the Stings...TC is LOADED this year and the game is in Texas City.

Week 2: Coldspring....14-1 last year...State finalist two years ago

Week 3: Lamar Consolidated (4A)...State champions in 2007....got beat by Pearland Dawson in OT last year in the playoffs...game is in Rosenberg

Week 4: St. Pius X..Perennial TAPPS State Champion with QB committed to Texas A&M

Week 6: Sweeny...3rd Round Team in 2011

Week 8: Bishop Lynch...Perennial TAPPS Playoff Team with game being played in Dallas

Week 9: West Columbia...Back to back Semifinalists

That being said....you can make a case for anyone in District 16 having the toughest schedule. :)

Please forgive this post 3ADL. There's a very good reason for this. Carthage is in a dry county and that can mess with your head a little.

yeah the *** moment this year in district play is awarded to springhill. They may need to do some recruiting.
