In the 4x400 final, Celina ran against 3 of the top 10 times in the nation this year (Timberview, Desoto, and Lancaster).

In winning the 4x100 relay they beat Lancaster and one other top team in the nation (Wylie?).

The Bobcats also won 1st and 2nd in the Discus, 1st in the Shot, 1st in the high hurdles, and 1st in the 400. Awesome job Cats!

Whole lot of crickets in here besides Celina fans...I guess other schools don't run track.

The race I would of loved to have seen is the 800.. 1:51.48 won it, 1:55.39 got 6th.... On paper, looks like a good one..

Also, can't wait to see Roos throw the SP.. Pretty much from the mound to home plate are his throws.

Cuero does and always has(go look at 2005, 2006 2007, 2008 and 2009 STATE results.. chirp chirp...........

Sounds like really fast times for the Bobcats. Congrats... Will be interesting to see how you'll do in District and Regionals. Also sounds like your coach is agreesive in having quality schools to compete against. That's what all these meets are about - getting ready for District...........

We had the Gobbler Relays this past weekend - I'd post results but I am still too tired from posting results all weekend DAMN - that pressbox was busy, I want my timing job back :cheerl:

Also I know DeSoto had mixed and matched some of their relay teams in order to get looks at guys for the Texas Relays....those times are smoking and will only get faster once regionals roll around...most exciting HS sporting event I ever witness was watching Fort Worth Wyatt smash the 4x100 national relay record at the state meet my senior year

one of the most exciting things to witness is a good, fast, well excecuted sprint relay........ perfection :)

Celina was missing one of their main legs on the sprint, 800, and mile relay. Jesus Vargas was at the state powerlifting meet.

Had Celina competed in the 5A group based upon times, the overall team would have finished 2nd behind Desoto and ahead of SLC. Had Zues been there they could have shaved as much as 2 seconds of of their 4X400 time as his average split is 48 and Braylon ran a 50.

It looked like the Bobcats came in Second to Lancaster in the 4A results, however, I didn't see any times posted for 4A. However, it looks like there was some real gifted athletes at that meet.

I was there also. What made it even more amazing is that they ran it out of lane 1.

Since we're talking about the Jesuit meet, might be notable to mention that Alvarado's pole vaulter won the 4A pole vault and would have won the 5A as well. And he now has the second highest vault in the nation ...
