I thought they looked real good. Tim is a ballplayer, we are in good shape for the long season still ahead.

Great start for Bellville. St. Thomas will test your secondary but they will not beat solid 3A teams because they rely too much on the passing game, run out of the pro set, and have a weak defense. They remind me of too many college teams that give up 30 or more points and win only because their offense puts up so many points ( e. g. UCLA or for that matter, Texas). Such teams eventually lose when they encounter a team with a sound unyielding defense. Bellville is such a team in 3A.

How do you think Bellville will do against Elgin next week?

I think Bellville will win this one. Elgin i belive will run the ball quit abit but with Bellvilles solid D we will have no trouble. and now our O is clicking so we are in good shape

What district is St Thomas in.

Houston St. Thomas is a Private school, in TAPPS district 3-5A, and went to the TAPPS 5A state championship last year.

Bellville has been playing them in pre-district every year for about 6 or 7 years now.

And I'm pretty sure Bellville wont have much trouble with Elgin next week, unless the rumors of the refs at Elgin being really one-sided to the Wildcats are true, which could cause some frustration for Bellville.

Bellville has faced 3 teams that depend on an athletic QB to be solely responsible for any big play on offense, and the Defense is well-prepared to handle Isom.

There are no refs at any school. Each area has a referee chapter, which assigns their refs to games long before the season ever starts. No ref will have the same team twice in a row,so please get off of that. If you lose, it will be because you werent as good, not b/c of the refs.
