Signed with the New York Giants yesterday for 1 year @ 2.5mil. I'm not complaining---but I wish him well.

I agree, P4S. Bennett reminds of Lamar Odom of the Mavs---he has tremendous ability, but plays like he doesn't want to be in the game, and wants to be an entertainment celebrity more.

I'll bet anyone $5 that he flourishes in NY with Eli.

I was thinking the same thing. Not just because of Eli though. When Dallas parts ways with a guy like that it seems to always comeback to bite us on the arse.

My prediction is a little different. Bennett will NEVER amount to much at the NFL level. He was an underachiever at both the collegiate and professional level (so far) and I expect nothing to change. When I think someone is lazy and soft I refer to them as "basketball" guys...Marty "B" is a basketball guy, not a football player.

Lazy player that has only played his hardest on about 10 plays since Jr High. Aggies wasted a ship on him and Dallas wasted a draft pick on him. Glad to see him gone...........

He will do well with the Giants. They are a no nonsense team and will correct him and I think he will straighten up and do right. The potential talent is there and Manning will also be on him.

Phil, he's a good blocking tight end that seems kinda dumb. Had trouble learning the Cowboy system after the draft and a clown off the field.

I'd bet $10 he has more yards then Witten this year.

If they are both healthy all year I'll take that bet but I want it to be yards AND catches. Let's make it something interesting like lunch at Hard 8.

I'd rather make it 1st down catches and TD's...that is the way to measure a pass catching TE.

Most of wittens 1st down catches are check down routes.

And why does that matter? Moving the sticks and scoring TD's is what it is all about.

I see it going one of two ways either he buys in to what Coughlin is selling and he finally puts it together and has a great year or the bright lights of NY help complete the epic flame out of a very lack luster career.

Don't know which games you were watching him play in but he had ample oppertunity to perform at Dallas. Because he either didn't run the right routes or didn't catch the ball, which was often, Romo didnt trust him so he wouldnt look toward him. That is why Romo looks for Witten. Witten will be there when Romo is in trouble and catches the ball. Don't kid yourself, Eli will be the same way. Bennett doesn't block worth a darn either.

Disagree about his blocking..he was very very solid in blocking

Hard 8 is a lose lose situation for me because that place is over priced and crappy.
