Not really...he was taking a lot of cap space and they are confident in younger players.

He was the weak link on the O-line. Signing Myers and Brisel is of higher importance.

That would suck the big one. Those two are of more importance than Mario Williams in my opinion.

Well Andre restructured his contract to save the texans 5.2 million. Rumor is they are actively trying to resign both Myers AND Mario Williams

Was he really?( I dont know)....I keep hearing he was cut because he makes 5.5 mill and most of the football "experts" think he will get that and more now because of his value and talent..Seems to be one of the shocking cuts

I think he was the one always getting called for false start. Him or Wade Smith. He may have not been a weakness so to speak, but I guess they saw him as less of a loss than Duane Brown or any of the guys on the interior line.

Yeah I'm definitely not on board with this move right now but I have faith in Rick smith. The guy knows what he's doing and he's got plans so I'll trust him

Winston was a fan favorite and fun to listen to on the radio.......but I always had this feeling that he wasn't as good as advertised. Certainly good enough to start, but I had the impression, but didn't want to believe or admit that he might was the weakest link on the O-line. I hope Rick Smith has something good up his sleeve, and the O-line stays healthy.

Lawrence Vickers got cut today too. He was no Vonta Leech as far as being a receiving threat on play action, but he did a solid job of run blocking. Still, he was due a $1 million base salary and that's probably too high for a fullback that split time.

Damn man... The texans are letting some quality guys go. I'm gonna be pissed off if Rick smith doesn't work some magic

I'm not sure Super Mario is worth all this.

He's having dinner with the Bills tonight. They are switching to a 4-3 and have loads of cap room. I think we've seen the last of Williams in a Texans jersey.

Let him fly for the $$$! We were just fine without him after the injury.. His best chance to win is in Houston, its his choice......
