1st Marlin vs. Rosebud-Lott, these two teams were
in the same district in 1983 during basketball season of this same year a big stands empting fight broke out, the Bulldogs won the game and the fight, although we had a few people get handcuffed and escorted out. These two towns are 12 miles apart and both apart of Falls County, so of course you know it goes without saying this is a rival that needs to be renewed, especially since the Cougars are Div II 2A state champs.
2nd Aldine MacArthur and San Antonio MacArthur.

How about the Donna Redskins vs. the Gladys Porter (Brownsville) Cowboys. Both teams uniforms are exaclty like the teams from the NFL. It would make a good rivalry.

You know there are towns in OK,NM,ARK and LA with the same name as their counterparts right here in Texas...Ex: I would like to see Bridge City, TX play Bridge City, LA(close to New Orleans); in either football or baseball! Does your team have a counterpart with the same name in another state? Thus far, I have not found another Orangefield in any other State...

Does your team have a counterpart with the same name in another state?

We (Aledo) were named after the town of Aledo, Illinois. Coincidentally, they won the football state championship in 1998 (their first and our first). SInce then, the green dragons have won the state championship in 2001 and again this year, so back to back titles for them. Here is the link if you wanna check out the Aledo Dragons, a very dominant program in Illinois.

You wanna see something really cool. click the link here and you will get to a site, the Illinois Athletic whatever site, anyway they recap the games play by play. check it out it is really cool.

http://www.ihsa.org/activity/fb/index.htm when you get there look over on the right for state champs, click on any game and you get a play by play recap. (click 'info') totally cool. i clicked on Aledo of course, and saw where each team had about 500 yards total offense that game. bet that was a good one! the other team scored first in ot, but went for 2 and missed, then aledo scored, and after a timeout kicked the xtra point and won it. I wish the UIL would do something similar to this.
tell me what you think if you go check it out.

WOW! That is a fantastic posting on each team. They must send out a standard form and all reporting is done on that form- to put together such a comprehensive statistical array, for each team! I think that the HS baseball teams should develop and use a standardized form, it would make it very interesting in keeping up with team and individual stats. That might even raise the level of interest in HS baseball.
