Celina girls move their record to 31-3 with a 75-49 win over Dallas Madison last night. So the Region II tournament in Commerce looks like this:

Celina vs Pittsburgh
Princeton vs Texarkana LE

If you look at the last TABC poll, the 4 top teams come from 2 Regions and are on a path to meet in the Region Finals: Abilene Wylie and Kennedale and Celina and TLE.

Region 1 is Lubbock Cooper vs Kennedale and Abilene Wylie vs Shallowater.

Region 3 is Madisonville vs Sealy and Lorena vs Giddings

Region 4 is West Oso vs Liberty Hill and Burnet vs Columbia.

I would call the winner of Region 1 the favorite going into Austin.

It really stunk that I was in the car when the game was on! I was able to get some spotty coverage on the radio, thanks to kbey-fm, but Marble Falls is a little far from where I was for me to listen very well.
