The Hardin-Jefferson girls basketball team will face Giddings at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Tomball in the regional quarterfinal.

The Navasota Lady Rattlers defeated the Splendora Lady Cats 46-39 and will take on the winner of the Sealy/Liberty (Friday) matchup on Monday or Tuesday.

I would be lying if I said the possibility (likely possibility) of a Kennedale/Wylie match up didn't make me nervous. As I said, Kennedale had a great
team last year and no doubt they have improved and matured this
year...just like Wylie has. There is no doubt that Peyton Little is the
best player in 3A...which as BEAST pointed out is a huge advantage.
Wylie also has a team full of players that can hurt you in the paint or
with the long shot. If this matchup happens again, I'm sure that Kennedale will be fired up to avenge last year's game and that's a scary thought. However, however blinded I may be by homerism, in crunch time, I
would never bet against Peyton Little and the Lady Bulldogs. I also think the experience of playing in the last two state tourneys will be a
big advantage. Little's 43 points in last year's state title game is proof that she excels on a big stage.

Good luck to Kennedale. In my opinion, the Region 1 winner will likely win the state title. I'm sure there are other great teams that will have something to say about that, though.

The game that took place at Brownwood, Little had something like 35ish of the 50ish points Wylie scored. Not saying Wylie isnt a really good team. I have a cousin on the team. I am just saying, Little is on a different level than any other player on the hardwood.

That's the wrong Wylie. You should know better than that. Wylie does not enter scores and stats on maxpreps. I think anyone who registers with maxpreps can enter scores, probably even you. I also wanted to ask why Kennedale usually has good 1st quarters and then not so much after that. Is it conditioning or are they easy to figure out.

Saw both games last night, both "teams" looked good. #11 for Kennedale made everything she threw up. Last night was an example as to why Wylie has a good "team".
