Saw on another board that Houston Yates may have "miscounted" their students and were off by 300. This would put them well over the 3a/4a cutoff. Has anyone else heard this? Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I don't know if this has happend before to this great of an extent. Can the UIL change their decision if it is true?

if they are reporting it then it might be the first thing they've actually broken...but its probably also wrong because I've talked to multiple sources in Houston and none have heard a thing about it

... Can the UIL change their decision if it is true?

yes they can and they have - the last time I recall this happening was with .... crap now I can remember, it was a NTX school

I'll think of it ... probably during the 3rd qtr of the Mavs game tonight

it was here: http://texasgridiron.com/trashTalk/index.php?topic=1191.0

It has since been deleted.

I saw it there but couldn't find anything else on the web about it so I posted my question here.

Who is reporting that??

Here was the original post:

Just got word that Yates will be appealing their drop to 3A. Yates forgot to count at least 300 kids!! This will put them above the 4A mark. Yates has a school of communications magnet program that is on their campus, and for some reason they did not count the kids in that particular program that live OUTSIDE of the zone when the numbers were turned in

I guess it was fake... sorry for any wasted time on my part.

That site is not a source of any information, its a waste of time reading that site because all they do is scour the internet and use everyone else's work and pass it off as their own
