The Monahans Loboes have the following away games next season:

Week 2 -- Canyon Randall (568 miles round trip)
Week 3 -- Fort Stockton (100 miles round trip)
Week 5 -- Canyon (neutral site in Lubbock, 362 miles round trip)
Week 6 -- Midland Greenwood (134 miles round trip)
Week 7 -- Abilene Wylie (410 miles round trip)
Week 9 -- Sweetwater (332 miles round trip)

1906 miles. BRUTAL!!!

Amarillo Tascosa might be able to top that....I bet Pecos has some long road trips to El Paso for their district games in 3A

Hey Halup where is the Monahans schedule posted? Or is this through the grapevine?

One thing about it is that you can make a 300 mile round trip in the same time it takes some of the metro mess teams to go 50 miles.:)

Why do they have 6 away games?

Why do they have 6 away games?

Because they are meeting Canyon at a neutral site both years.

Why do they have 6 away games? I'm sure the Canyon deal had to be set up at a neutral site...not home and home.

You may be right about Tascosa. Depends on how their away games stack up. Not so with Pecos. We've been in that far West district before. Only 2 away games to El Paso each year (the other 2 are home games). Its about a 400 mile round trip.

Our game with Canyon is at a neutral site each year (Lubbock Cooper). Our game with Canyon Randall is home and home

No Andrews? Seminole?

:confused:The word is we tried, without success, to schedule both Andrews and Seminole for non-district. That's why we have the far away games with Canyon and Canyon Randall.

Maybe Andrews and Seminole are thinking possible meeting of monahans in the playoffs and don't want to have to play twice in the season. Don't know what the reason was but they were sure some fun matchups to watch. I'm interested to see how the Loboes stack up against Canyon and Canyon Randall

I am thankful that I don't have to make the haul down I-20 this year to Monahans, but I guess next year I will. Looking at Monahans schedule they will be burning up the highways next year

Thanks for the good news!! Seems if it ain't Keenan Ward, it's Austin Aune. If it ain't Aune, it's Randall's QB! Judging from Randall's success last year, we definitely will have our hands full in this game.
