Who are the QB's to watch this year and their records? Kenny West from Alvarado returns for his Senior season with A 26 and 3 career record. Would be great to see him break the 40 win mark.

Stephenville's Tyler Jones will be one top returning QBs in the state. Last year as a junior he helped guide the Jackets to an 11-3 record and the qtr. finals before being knocked out by state champion Aledo. The 6'2 205 lb Jones completed 63% of his passes for 3,217 yards and 33 TDs with 11 INTs. He also chipped 688 yards rushing with 6 TDs.

Nathan Elliot will be a sophomore this year for Celina. He bears watching for the next 3 years.

Kadarius Baker of Navasota should be a good one to watch. The senior to be was a first year starter in 2011 and went 12-2. His stats are pretty impressive. 269 passing attempts; 185 completions; 70.6 % passing efficiency; 3014 passing yards; 41 passing touchdowns: only 3interceptions; plus over 400 yards rushing.

This Baker kid has my vote for preseason all-state qb in the other thread. I think he is definitely a legit pick and should be seriously considered.

Saw Kadarius first hand this year against us in Navasota, the kid does have a great touch on his passes and should have another solid season with the skilled players around him. My son attended the NLA invite showcase with him in Houston, he will definitely be one to watch next season however his height will be an issue to play at the next level. We were able to meet him and his father, seems like a great kid. Good Luck to him on next season.

Lorena's got a junior-to-be QB, Harris Coleman, 6' 205lbs, played half the season on JV, then moved up to varsity. Took the JV to a 7-1 record, then started 3 of the 5 varsity games, including 3 deep in playoffs. First playoff game vs 10-0 Fairfield coach Darrell Piske said on the radio they had been calling him Tebow all week on film because he was a JV call-up and didn't know his name yet. Rushed for 1580 yards and passed for 1042 on the year. 26 TD's and 142 total points. Kicks also. 70% passing completion on varsity. QB rating of 137, compared to Baker of Navasota with a 138 and West of Alverado of 100.

Tyler Jones is and will be the top QB in 3A 2012.
*note: S'ville will also have a soph QB that will be a state contender his JR and SR years. 2013 & 2014.
One of the most athletic kids I've seen in a while.

Yes sir, and will be a force on either side of the ball! Do you see him having potential to be a top QB his JR and SR years as well?
