Any possible changes with Week 5?

From the Facts: Sweeny is scrambling trying to find a Week 5 opponent because there are no 2A, 3A, or 5A 5 team districts. None that are within a reasonable distance. Budget cuts could cause Sweeny to play 9 games like we did two years ago.

Yup, that's for sure. 1-1 would be very nice, huh? Not having a week 5 game might be nice to prepare 2 weeks for LM:)

That's true; 2-0 IS BETTER and it would be nice if we could find a home game for Week 5.

Stafford usually is not strong in football.

Sunnyside started playing in 2010. (against TAPPS and Private school's)

Interesting. Even though we lost to Sweeny in the playoffs I had to admire the effort their team made. They are a clean hard hitting team. They hit hard on every play but it is not dirty play. They didn't do cheap shots that cause injuries. I respect that.

The same can be said for Sinton.

columbia and sweeny should play a nondistrict game in which both teams only play reserves and use strange playbooks because they don't want the other team to have an advantage in the game that counts a few weeks later

Maybe Navasota is open during Week 5?
