Celina didn't want a tough pre-district game? I don't believe it and I refuse to do it.

Is Prosper off the board for you guys? Earlier, it looked like a tentative game.

The last I heard they both have week 2 open but Prosper doesn't want to commit yet as I think they are looking for someone closer.

The Amarillo High game will now be a neutral site game in Snyder.

Propser is a no go for week 2.

So far Sville has been turned down by Bwood, Celina, Prosper, Argyle, Monahans, and Navasota in the 3A ranks for games with common open weeks.

Sville is working on a week 5 game with Tyler John Tyler. The problem is that week is the week before JT starts district. After JT's district meeting and depending on who they start district with will determine if this game happens. Basically if JT gets an easy opponent to open district with then this game will happen.

I guess Sville should be crowned already cause nobody wants to play them pretty sad.

Maybe it is due to the fact that during the weeks in question that all 3 of Celina's JV and JH teams would have to travel to the 'Ville or they would have to travel here or that both schools would be trying to find JV and JH games for that week.

Just a question...would the large crowd that Stephenville would bring to Celina offset the potential travel cost? Something to at least consider I think....

YEP, YEP, YEP. They wouldn't fit in Argyle's 2500 seating capacity either, I believe. How many fans does Sville have traveling to games, anyway?

Sville

Whats gonna be real interesting is when we play Venus in their 1200 seat stadium, our Jr high field sits more than that. I guess we will get to bust out the lawn chairs. TBH I kinda of pumped about playing in all these new places.

If Stephenville is playing a name opponent or playing well they'll bring 3-4k easy....Celina and Argyle I think would fit in that category

Celina and Argyle both had their shots this year but turned us down along with Prosper and Navasota

OOPS. I think the Argyle stadium seats 3500, not 2500. Either way, Sville would have to be played at another location if it were a home game, which would probably be no problemo. All this sounds great, except we didn't schedule Sville. Well, Shucks!!!

2 hours 30 mins 127.5 miles on a Yellar Dog on a Thursday night for 7th, 8th and JV games probably was the biggest part of the decision. But that is my opinion. I assume you like everyone else thinks these schools were scared. Not hardly.

Come on now you know they generally schedule different jr High games than the HS opponents. But 127 miles is not that much for us if you look at who we have played the last several years. It might for Celina and that is understandable.

And you're not going to get much sympathy as far as the enrollment differential goes from us, when we were playing schools over twice the size of us last year in Hebron, Horn, and Midway

That is a great plan. While the head coach was on the phone trying to find varsity and subvarsity games the JH coordinator was on the phone trying to find games for our jh's to play because of the lack of jh's in our district and already in place pre-district schedule. Guess what, still looking for those jh games!!

Good luck with the Monterrey Tech game taking place. There were games scheduled with teams last year that ended up being canceled. Some drug cartel wanted them to fork over $30k, if I remember right, to cross the border.
