One going to TCU and one to Texas Tech (I guess you knew that Lol..). Not sure about the Bossow brothers but I was very impressed how they played in the SC game. Maybe an Argyle fan can hone in on that one. Their kicker, well, not much to say there. All legitimate picks. Congrats.

With only one first teamer for Wimberley, I guess that says alot about how well the Texans played "team" effort across the board to be able to be undeafeated and win the Championship. Congrats to the ones that did get sports writers vote.

So what's the approx. number of 3A high school players anyway? Lets figure it out. According to DCTF 2011, there were 184 teams in all districts combined. Of course, we don't know the avg. number of players per team. We can only guess. I personally have no idea what this avg. should be. I could be as many as 5-6 players per team off in my estimate. I'm guessing here the number at about 28. So 184 teams X 28 players per team = approx. 5152 players. So using these numbers, which are not official numbers, you can see what the proportion of players actually make the All-State teams in all categories. A very LOW percentage. Congrats to all the honorees.

Congrats!!

Way to go Navasota! Five (5) Rattlers made the list who will all be back next season!

Six.

2nd Team QB: Kadarius Baker, Jr.
2nd Team DL: Jake Bauer, Jr.
2nd Team LBs: Jaylin Minor, Jr., Will Imhoff, Jr.
3rd Team WR: Solomon McGinty, Jr.
HM D-Back: Xavier Creeks, Jr.

Some notable names on the list:
LaDarrell McNeil, Wilmer Hutchins...recruited by all the big programs in Texas but really showed little interest to them, in fact, the entire Big XII. Solid verbal to Tennessee.
3rd Team WR: Kendall Sanders...a top ten Texas recruit, recently switched to UT from OSU. People say he had a disappointing senior year production wise, no not much of a surprise.
3rd Team LB: Dalton Santos, Van...one of the nations top true run stuffing MLB prospects, guy plays with reckless abandon. Surprised to see him behind 8 other backers.
HM: Adrian Colbert, Mineral Wells...dude blew up his senior year. If he was good enough to get a winter offer from several FBS programs (committed to UT) I wonder what the sports writers didn't see that FBS coaches did see.
Also, Michael Starts and Jake Raulerson at third team on the Offensive Line.

I am definitely not complaining, but just rather surprised to see where some of the future D1 studs are on the list.

All State teams primarily honor Seniors and those from championship teams get the majority of the attention. I will take an All-American in all classifications over 3A all state any day. Congratulations to all
