That is a huge loss of students. I wonder what is really going on? Folks moving away from there or what?

Robstown has never had a very good reputation as a town to raise a family in. I think a lot of people have moved into Corpus Christi and other nearby towns.

Calallen has received numerous RISD transfers over the years from what I'm told. I think folks in Robstown eventually grow tired of all the politics and corruption there.

Around 2001 they had 933 students, not 3000.

3,000 was the School District's enrollment in 2001 according to the article. I think this is showing that students are dropping out or moving as the reason for the decrease. 800 seems awfully low; that makes me think the person that wrote the article posted the HS enrollment as the current district enrollment???

Well, to put it into perspective, this report is from the same TV station that started the whole "Refugio could beat the 1985 Chicago Bears" thing last season...:1popcorn:

I agree something doesn't add up. I think the first number of 3000 might be total enrollment and the second number is the HS. Kinda sloppy if you ask me.
