O.k., which 3A school, including boys and girls, is leading in the best athletic program this year, and over the last 5 years?

I'll put my money on Argyle or Abilene Wylie off the top of my head...somebody want to quote actual records?

Canyon, Lovejoy, or Argyle

Lonestar Cup last 5 winners

10/11 - Lovejoy
09/10 - Lovejoy
08/09 - Argyle
07/08 - Canyon
06/07 - Canyon

For 11/12 Argyle has a 4 point lead over Lovejoy.

Rank/Team/Pts
1. Argyle 36
2. Lovejoy 32
3. La Vernia 28
4. A Wylie, Kaufman, Wimberely 24

I would put Liberty Hill and Wimberly in there for sure . Both are tough in all sports at all levels .

I think Wylie won the Lone Star Cup in 04-05. All of those listed are outstanding programs

Not sure what the records are but I would vote Abilene Wylie, they are consistantly good across the board. Their trophy cases are ridiculous and the dates go back to when I was in school, that was a while ago. :)

I kinda liked the 2011 results:

1. Lucas Lovejoy 90 pts.
2. Abilene Wylie 62 pts.
3. Argyle 58 pts.
4. Lorena 42 pts.
5. Wimberley 38 pts.
6. Kennedale 36 pts.
7. Decatur 32 pts.
Fredericksburg 32 pts.
9. Brownwood 30 pts.
Burkburnett 30 pts.
Lindale 30 pts.
Monahans 30 pts.

Not bad for 500 students.

I would agree beings though the schools in front of them have 400 more students than they do

Argyle may have 150 more, but not 500.

Argyle's enrollment has been more than 500 but less than 660 since moving to 3a in 2006. I think we have won 2 Lonestar cups.

Oops, I meant Argyle does not have 400 more students than Lorena. Typo'd on my phone.
