"At MD Anderson in Houston. Tony just went down for radiation. The doctors are hoping that the radiation will return the use of his legs. (All of this developed yesterday) We are all praying that this will happen"

This might explain why we haven't had many updates. I think Tony might need our players now more than ever. :(

"No movement in legs or hips. Dr. not optimistic about recovering movement. decreasing strength in arms and hands. still in a lot of pain. Had 3rd radiation treatment this morning. No side effects yet. lots of congestion. Will do a chest xray today sometime. Nose bleeds. They are talking about PT to help him manage a wheel chair when he goes home...... "

If anyone of you can add him to your Church's prayer list, please do so. I will talk to him tonight and ask if he will take calls(from you who don't already have his phone number) from those who might want to give him encouragement.
Also, Sacred Heart Church in Sinton will add Tony to their Mass Wednesday morning at 7AM for his health. I plan on being there. I welcome any local folks to join in prayers and make the Mass, if you would be so kind.

Prayers for Tony and family. This is a helpless situation and it is hard to post on sports news now even though I know he wants us to keep the site going. He was the first downlow member I meant when he introduced himself to me at a playoff baseball game. All things come to a finish but it is sometimes hard. He has been a great friend and like everyone else I would like it to continue. The Lord knows best though.

This is difficult for me, and I don't even know Tony personally. You see, I lost my wife to cancer 2 years ago, and my heart is full for Tony and his family. We are all only in these flesh bodies but a short millisecond compared to eternity. I know my wife is now in her perfect spiritual body with the Lord and pain-free, my only consolation. My son and I miss her dearly, but because we are believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, we have strength to live our lives til our time in these flesh bodies comes to an end. My prayer for Tony and his family is to let the Lord Above supply you with all the strength and understanding you need at this time to keep living each day to its fullest. AMEN.
