Yes, drop sports that only cater to a small segment of the world (if you consider North/South America, the Caribbean islands and Japan a "small segment") for something only Kiwis and maybe Aussies would be good at. Bravo!

Below is the movie trailer of The Sundowners which is set in Australia. In this movie is a sheep shearing contest (see the 3:09 min mark). This movie is sometimes shown on TCM and even the Encore Western Channel sometimes.
