Sure hope the Texans can get it done, but it's going to be a tough game against that Raven defense.....Texans for Texas!

They finally get a shot. But without the full compliment. Get em anyway!

What was Jacoby Jones thinking?!

Saggy Aggie
01-15-2012, 01:25 PM
No telling. Then Walter drops a nice pass. Texans making mistakes and screwing themself out a of a potential 2 score lead

They are running Foster to death---hope he has enough gas to get it done.

Huge game for Foster so far.

Those ain't pitty-pat yards either---tough running against some of the hardest hitters in the league. Hats off to a real football player.

Ravens have done nothing offensively except for the FG drive. The scores came because of turnovers. Texans came back firing in the 2nd half. That doesn't happen in years past. If the defense can keep up the intensity, and the offense can protect the ball, I like our chances.

Lol, Ravens should have kicked the FG.

It's obvious that a more experienced qb for the Texans would bode them well. T.J. Yates is not a bad third stringer, but Schaub would be a definite improvement. It's just a shame they have to deal with this sort of thing, when their opponents do not. How good would they be with Schaub in there? Whatta bad break.

Blastoderm55

The thing about Schaub is that he hand a tendency to force throws and toss INTs at the worst possible time. Yates has forced a few this season, but has done an outstanding job of protecting the ball.

On an unrelated note, Jacoby Jones is the worst punt returner of all time. I think he's only gained yards on one return today.

Blastoderm55

But he just made a HUGE fumble recovery so I'll overlook some of it!

Can the defense of either or both of these teams stop the Patriots offense? I think both teams could score on the Pats D. Next week's game will be fun to watch, regardless of who wins today. And I'm pulling for the winner here to beat the Pats, that's for sure.

I guess Billy Cundiff is happy now the Cowboys cut him.

Can Houston break their jinx after all these years in a year where they have had to overcome devasting injuries to key personnel all season? Will T.J. Yates lead them to a game-tying score? And if he does, will the Texans go for 2?

Another ball thrown into double coverage for the game saving INT for the Ravens. Just not a good decision. Too much for T. J. to properly digest.

Turnovers will be the story of this game.

Yates had to try to make something happen in the last 2 mins., but why challenge Ed Reed, who lives for the playoffs?

Will the rookie Yates throw an int late in the game?

Blastoderm55
01-15-2012, 04:02 PM
He didn't have to go for the score right there. Turnovers made all the difference.

You're about a minute late.

Even on the brink of defeat, the defense never gave up. You cannot say enough about the job Philips has done in Houston.

Probably going to have to part ways with Mario Williams (free agent and will cost $22 million per year to keep him), but Barwin has proven his worth this season. Some offenseive weapons (fast slot receiver or athletic tight end) to take the pressure off Johnson and Foster will be key during the draft and offseason.

haha! Prior to that muffed punt, I was talking to the tv and my wife, telling Jones that this was his audition for next season and to not mess it up. Low and behold, the worst possible thing that could have been done was done. Oh well. At least I have the long weekend to cope witht he loss in a drunken stuopor.

lestar jean should be healthy next year and i think he easily becomes the 2nd best wr on this current team

here is what i think a solid wr rotation next year would look like

johnson/1st round pick/jean/walter/maehl, let bryant johnson and jacoby jones go, maehl can fill b johnson's role as a guy with good hands

Draft boards have the Texans picking that slot receiver from Baylor. That would be great. The Texans need a Wes Welker to help underneath and stretch the field vertically.

:iagree: with everything. Maybe WR Alshon Jeffery could still be there.

Great Season by the Texans this year. Let's hope next year they take it a step farther.
