Does anyone of the scoop on the boys race?
When does district start since there are only 8 district games?

I know Wharton doesn't have a very good team.

There have been very few stories in the Wharton Journal-Spectator since they don't have a sports editor.

They only rely on the coach to submit a report and if a photo is submitted

I still run into folks around town and wonder why there is hardly any sports in the paper.

I worked my butt off for almost 25 years before being laid off.

I would go to almost all the boys and girls home games

Roughnecks currently sit at 10-5 on the year. They take on 5A Pasadena Memorial this Friday,which will be a tough test for them. Necks open up district play on Friday, January 13th @ Palacios.

Thanks for the updates. Don't keep up with basketball much but do like to hear that they are doing well. The most all around talented group of kids I think i've ever seen. Keep it up Roughnecks. They'll be talking about this group for years.

Yes DC will get a by, however if Wharton beats WC and Sweeny beats Palacios Sweeny and WC end in a tie and will have to play again.

Your right about that, but you never know. Softball as well, a couple of off nights and standings can change.
