I think we would all like to see a unified title for all classifications, but until that happens, we can only speculate about the best overall teams in each classification. So, following are this season's DI and DII champs. Who do you think would win, and by how much, if they played? Which teams, if any, do you think could beat teams in higher classifications?
1A1-Mason
1A2-Tenaha
2A1-Melissa
2A2-Refugio
3A1-Chapel Hill
3A2-Wimberley
4A1-Lake Travis
4A2-Aledo
5A1-SLC
5A2-Spring Dekaney
1A1-Mason
1A2-Tenaha
2A1-Melissa
2A2-Refugio
3A1-Chapel Hill
3A2-Wimberley
4A1-Lake Travis
4A2-Aledo
5A1-SLC
5A2-Spring Dekaney

This is the way I see it:
1A1-Mason
1A2-Tenaha
I think Tenaha would've ran away with this one.
2A1-Melissa
2A2-Refugio
This one would've probably been a toss-up, but I would've went with Melissa.
3A1-Chapel Hill
3A2-Wimberley
This one would've probably been a toss-up, too, but I would've still picked Chapel Hill.
4A1-Lake Travis
4A2-Aledo
No doubt, Lake Travis...
5A1-SLC
5A2-Spring Dekaney
I think this game would've been a lot closer than the Dekaney/Cibolo Steele game, but I still think Dekaney would've won.

Refugio by a ton
Chapel Hill by a little
Lake Travis by a ton
Dekaney by 10-14

Doesn't matter. Hard to beat a good team twice in a season.

well, since my wife is from Aledo..and i follow them also, iv seen 4 games including the LT game this year, i can say this..Aledo's D improved greatly as the season progressed...if they had met in the playoffs or SC...it would have been a much different game, though i think LT still would win in a tight one.

If you want a D1 vs D2 championship game, why have two divisions in the first place?
The current semis would really be the quarters, and the current division SC games would really be the semis.
You could still take the top three from every district and just have a bigger bracket.

Laughing...good one ETB :)
If our first game with Aledo was closer, then I might say it would have been a tougher game the second go round. Know that our defense improved too as the year went on....
Cedar Park was the toughest team we faced BY FAR! If they were in the D2 bracket they would have beaten Aledo...soundly.
