NORMANGEE, TX -- A Texas A&M football player has been killed in a car crash near the town of Normangee.
Department of Public Safety Troopers say Joseph Villavisencio was headed north on FM 39 Thursday afternoon. Troopers say he swerved to avoid something in the road and hit an 18 wheeler in the southbound lane.
Villavisencio was killed in the accident.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
Villavisencio was a senior offensive lineman for the Texas A&M football team. He wore #67, was from Jacksonville, Texas, and was 22-years-old.
