Sad story, crazy how he could be playing football one day and then be diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and passing away in a year. RIP Matt Romig

Matt was from Bells. A great athlete in both football and baseball. I saw him pitch Bells to a playoff win against Aubrey in relief a few years ago. He had a crazy over-the-top delivery that looked like a pitching machine and was very intimidating. This news makes me very sad. RIP.

Matt was a beast in the 2010 opener at NW Missouri. Had 3.5 sacks. By the end of the season, he was fighting for his life. He seemed to have it beaten and then it came back a couple of months ago with a vengance.
