Hey Roughneck93 SHSU offense finally woke up again. They didn't score but they moved the ball and ran out the clock. What a great call they made on that fourth down. I think that was the right thing to do because I think Montana would have been left with too much time and with all the timeouts and ability to move the ball fast it might have been tough. But SHSU is going to the finals!

I agree. Absolutely the right call to go for it. When you have someone like Tim Flanders running, getting one yard shouldn't be a problem. GREAT drive to close it out.

Just got back from the game. Give the Montana coaching staff a ton of credit. They made some great halftime adjustments and took advantage of a world of mistakes to put themselves in position to win.

This is going to sound like an underhanded compliment, but isn't intended that way at all--That Grizzly team on the field tonight didn't belong in that game. But there they were. They just kept playing sound football and taking advantage of penalties and momentum against a faster, more talented opponent and had a chance to win in the final minutes.

When the Bearkats were up 31-14, I looked at my buddy and told him that against a more evenly-matched opponent, we'd be losing. Thirty minutes later, I almost ate my words. Hats off to the Montana coaching staff and players. That was an incredible comeback.

Fun game. Excited to see what happens in three weeks.

They said that? Only reason I can think is because the backup never saw a pitch that he liked, but outside of that I don't know. Montana stacked eight in the box the entire second half and I don't remember the free safety ever retreating from the LOS. A well-executed play action pass would've killed them.
