My cousin called me right before I got off work to tell me that my father was in the ER with back pain. My brother just called me. He told me my father has an enlarged Aorta. It’s 5cm, so he may need to have surgery. My brother is still at the ER and will call me back once he has all the information. My father is 86, in good health, but I don’t know if he could survive this type of high risk surgery at his age. Please help me pray for him. Thank you!

Prayers from Bull Country for a successful surgery and complete recovery, garcia. The good part is, if they hadn't found the enlarged aorta before it ruptured, he would not have had a chance. My dad came through a 4X heart bypass procedure at 85 and did just fine. God Bless and be with you all...

I have some good news from the cardiologist, he said he does have an enlarged aorta, but it is only 2.0 cm and will not need surgery (the ER doctors had said the enlarged aorta was 5cm and might need surgery to repair). The cardiologist will be providing a treatment plan, which includes close monitoring of the aorta. My father is home now and feeling better. Again thanks for the prayers!

I have some good news from the cardiologist, he said he does have an enlarged aorta, but it is only 2.0 cm and will not need surgery (the ER doctors had said the enlarged aorta was 5cm and might need surgery to repair). The cardiologist will be providing a treatment plan, which includes close monitoring of the aorta. My father is home now and feeling better. Again thanks for the prayers!
