fixed it try againThe ball is dead where the carroll player first gets possession. However there should have been a illegal procedure on the play by SL. You cannot block until the ball can be legally touched by the kicking team. So basically ten yards or if touched by recieving team player.

It is very close and I have to admit that I didnt catch it until several times watching it. But its different on the field in that situation. I cant complain about the way it was called just an observation after the fact and several replays!

Is the receiving team allowed to block before it goes 10 yards?

So it's a judgement call on who is blocking who? For all we know the Skyline players were blocking the SLC players.

I must admit, when I first saw the initial video, it looked as thought Skyline was right. This new video does make it look like it was the right call.

So it's a judgement call on who is blocking who? For all we know the Skyline players were blocking the SLC players. Its pretty easy to see who initiates the contact! In this instance the blocking was beyond the 50 but the ball wasnt yet.

If you look at this video and you can't tell who is blocking who then you barely qualify to be a fan.

the comments on the DMN site are amazing ... some folks actually believe SLC paid the crew and the crew cheated for SLC

lots of race card type stuff being thrown around too

Boo Hoo! My goodness! We can all be replay experts given enough views of the film. This is clearly a case of trying to get attention because they lost at the end when they thougt they had it won. One could probably go back and look at the entire game film and find missed calls on both sides. It's subjective and happened at live speed. Good grief! Let it go.

So it's a judgement call?

And you don't need to go on one of your tangents about how everything is a judgement call.

Of course it is a judgment call but I would hope anyone who is even a casual follower of the game would see this video and be able to make the correct judgment

Skyline is allowed to attack them right? They don't have to wait for the SLC players to get to the 10 yard mark?

TexMike

Absolutely Skyline could have attacked the players or the ball before either went 10 yards
