GREAT story, indeed. Curtis Brown graduated in December of 2006 right after football season so he could participate in spring practice with the Longhorns. Here is a video of his final game (bi-district against Liberty-Eylau) for the Buckeyes someone has posted to YouTube. He is wearing No. 3. He was a sophomore on the 2004 team which won state. The 2006 team was upset by Liberty-Eylau (see video), which then went on to win state. LE had a player named LaMichael James, who was a junior that year. The only problem I have with the article is someone from Pennsylvania saying Longview is not exactly a "thriving metropolis." You could say that about Gilmer, but Longview is far more prosperous than most comparable areas of Pennsylvania (outside of the areas up there where they are fracking for shale gas).
