What a great game!!!!! Two very good teams fought to the very end. A game of hard hitting, hard running, and big plays on offense and defense. Hats off to Alvarado, what an impressive defensive performance in the fourth quarter. Huge stop after the fumble deep in their own territory.

My heart goes out to the kid who fumbled on the last drive. I have seen Chapel Hill create those kind of turnovers before, against Navasota, when it really mattered.

Congratulations to the CH team and coaches. I also want to give alot of credit to the CH and Alvarado fans. True fans and loud.

CH has the trophy, but Alvarado was not outclassed or outplayed.

Believe TXB said, (after all the close calls) CH looked to be a team of destiny. Congrats on the SC Chapel Hill... Alvarado, you guys were my team of choice in this game. So close!!! No matter what happened here, both would have been worthy champions!!! What a year!!! :clap: :clap: :clap:

Congratulations from La Grange to Tyler Chapel Hill 3a Division 1 State Champions. And props to Alvarado for a great season and exciting SC game where both teams proved worthy of the title. CH gave the fans some exciting nail bitters on the way and they just don't have any quit in them.

Destiny, pure and simple. Like some say, it was just in the cards. To last through four close games and some of those that for sure was in the hands of the other team until the last moment. Congrats to Chapel Hill for staying the course and believing in themselves to the very end. That's what makes a true champion. Alvarado, you guys hold your head high cause you played them one hell of a game but, it just wasn't meant to be. Good luck to both teams in the future.

Congratulations to the Chapel Hill Bulldogs, the Class 3A Division I State Champions! Way to bring it back to East Texas where it belongs! Good job on FINISHING the deal! Y'all were so close last year, and got it done this year.

Congratulations to the Alvarado Indians, too. Y'all had a great season, came up just ONE point short, and I know it won't be the last time we hear from y'all again.

I disagree. After seeing CH come from behind agianst the Mighty Roughnecks, I told my wife she was watching the next State Champion. I told her the bunch that pulled off that win had to be destined to take it all the next week!
