The greatest generation says it all! My grandfather was a WWII vet, and always told me it was just something we all had to do. Never bragged and never complained!

It's a shame they will disband in December. There aren't many of them left. I'm sure they feel it will die with them. I hope it never does.

There's a special on the History Channel now and it will replay later this evening called "24 hrs. after Pearl Harbor". We are watching it now. My son is a WWI and WWII history nut. He knows more about this stuff than I do, and I'm 57.
