Once agian proving the BCS does not care about the title...all about the money and the bowls

They just never clarified whether or not it was single or double elimination.

ESPN had a poll going, unoficial I know, but it had almost 80% of the fans voting to see LSU and OSU in the title game.

OSU 5th on one guys poll, and 4th on Gary Pinkel's. Talk about obvious bias and sticking it to your former conference.

Just like Watergate...follow the money. In this case, the TV money. SEC has TV deals with CBS for broadcast and ESPN for the SEC Network. That tends to get lost in all the handwringing over the LHN. Nice shell game they've got going on IMO.

Ironically the schools barely profit from these bowls while the people in charge make huge profits.

at least alabama-lsu kinda makes sense

can we be angry about the fact that michigan and virginia tech are in a bcs game? i think it is ridiculous that teams ranked 11 and 13 are in bcs games when the teams ranked 6,7,8, and 9 are all playing in lesser bowl games

Once again its all about the money. Michigan has a larger fan base which brings in more revenue for those involved.

i don't 'get' this completely though, because virginia tech isn't gong to bring any more fans in than arkansas or kansas state. i mean, yeah, michgan brings fans because they are michigan and it is unfair, but there is nothing to do about that, but vtech? no way, after that blow out loss to clemson. no way do i put two acc schools in the bcs and keep an (arguably) better school like k state out (when a vtech vs kstate 'who brings more money' argument isn't going to end with vtech as the clear winner or anything)

tl;dr: i 'get' michigan from a money perspective, not vtech
